Most questions are answered in minutes by the FAQ. For everything else, there's email and GitHub. And there is one thing nobody can do for you — we'd rather you read it here than discover it later.

Caveau's client is open source, and its bug tracker is public. Report problems (or read what's already known) at github.com/caveau-app/caveau/issues. Please never include your recovery key, password, or personal photos in a report.

For anything else — purchase problems, restore trouble, questions before you buy — write to support@getcaveau.app. A human reads it. Because we run no servers and collect no data, we may ask you to describe what's on your screen; we can't look anything up about you, which is exactly how it should be.
If you lose your password and your recovery kit (and any inheritance shares), your photos are gone. Permanently. For everyone.
This is not a policy we could bend for a sad enough story — it is mathematics. Caveau's encryption has no backdoor, no master key, and no reset flow that routes around your keys, because any door built "just for support" is a door built for attackers, insiders, and warrants too. The same design that makes your vault impossible for others to open makes it impossible for us to open for you.
Protect yourself in two minutes: print your recovery kit and store it somewhere safe, and consider handing inheritance shares to two people you trust. Then this box never applies to you.
